An independent record label created to assist talented artists of all genres who have developed a following and perform regularly in the Blue Ridge Mountain Region.
We are a small regional label, providing full production services and limited promotional services for our artists. Unlike the big labels, our artists make most of the money on CD sales rather than the label. For artists selected to be on our label, we will provide the studio time at Catawba Sound Studio for recording, mixing, mastering, provision of barcode, publishing, web page creation, online CD sales, and promotional assistance for their retail CD project. The artist pays for the manufacture of 1000 retail ready CDs, approximately $1,750 (graphics and shipping included). The CDs are shipped to us and we sell them to the artists, as they are needed, to eventually recover our upfront cost, usually at a price of $2.00 - $3.50 per CD. This arrangement cuts the upfront cost for a CD project in more than half for the artists. And, they can expect $6 - $10 profit for each CD they sell.
That's $6,000 - $10,000 profit for the artist for 1000 CDs sold. Compare that with the big label deals!
