Rick Bucklin's mother gave him his first guitar, his brother Bob helped him get started, and Rick took it from there and has been performing across the country since he was 14 years old! Rick says, "my guitar playing has taken me to alot of places I would have never gotten to otherwise." Once you hear him, you will know why!
Roanoke has been Rick's home for quite a few years now. When he had the Rick Bucklin Blues Band a few years back, he used to regularly pack the Coffee Pot in Roanoke, VA. Well, Rick is back in a big way, this time as the Rick Bucklin Band. His old friend, Jimmy Bush, adds acoustic guitar and rich vocals to the band.
In addition to Rick and Jimmy, they have (Chicago) Nick Latsaras on bass, and Tom VanNortwick on drums (formerly drummer for the band Cimmaron). For the CD and sometimes onstage, Rick uses some of the area's finest musicians (listed on right side of page).
